Gilera GSA - 50

The story says that the engineer EnricoVianson, piaggio director of that time, contacted Paolo Martin the designer to make a scooter. You already know the sketch and the final result. The Maggiora company built the boxed steel frame and the AG international company the plastic components. Motor-transmission of motovespa production S.A. , all to make a vehicle that is decidedly innovative both in terms of structure and appearance. As usual, too late for the times, Gilera was able to create the forefather of modern scooters, intended as a two-wheeled vehicle with a mixed metal-sheet metal bearing structure, engine-suspension-transmission unit and lots of plastic for dressing everything. Before the GSA the scooter was a Vespa and only a Vespa.
